- #3372 - Tawny Port finish
DISTILLED on 29th November 2007 and BOTTLED on 11th April 2024.
Recognised for producing a dry, smoky distillate with floral hints. This release is from a rare heavily peated spirit run called Lochindaal. Matured in a first fill bourbon barrel with an ex-Tawny Port finish.
We are delighted to offer this modern rarity from this iconic distillery. Rumour has it that only 250 casks of Lochindaal were distilled between 2007 and 2009 making this one of the oldest bottled. Finished for around 8 months in a 2nd fill tawny port cask offering light fruit notes and with a peating level of 50ppm to sit in-between the core release Port Charlotte and Octomore levels.
Tasting revealed - sea spray, oyster and charred orange.

- #800178 - Tawny Port Finish
DISTILLED on 9th January 2008 and BOTTLED on 19th March 2024.
A fruity, floral and honeyed distillate. Matured in a hogshead for 10 years and finished in a first fill ex-tawny port cask, sourced from J. Dias cooperage for the remaining years.
One of our favourite malts to work with due to its natural fruitiness and waxiness, this whisky has spent its final 6 years maturing in a Tawny port cask from J. Dias cooperage. This cooperage produces port casks that are less aggressive on the oak influence allowing a longer softer finish on the whisky, hence the reason that even after 6 long years, the Glen Elgin character isn’t overwhelmed.
Tasting revealed - Manuka honey, toffee apple and cassia bark.

DISTILLED on 10th December 1993 and BOTTLED on 17th April 2024.
Founded in 1885 in Edinburgh. This distillate has a heavier character compared to other grain distilleries due to the use of maize. Fully matured in an ex-bourbon barrel for notes of vanilla and spice.
Our local grain distillery located just over the water in Edinburgh produces one of the heavier grain whiskies on offer. Fully matured in a very well used refill barrel that was also leaking throughout its life has led to a very soft and gentle but mature single grain whisky at a very very approachable ABV.

- Warehouse Solera System
This exceptional whisky is created in our unique own special way by blending malt whiskies from different distilleries and differing spirit styles. Each batch is Small, bespoke and distinctively different from the last; blended, married, bottled and hand labelled in our own warehouse where you’ll be glad to know, no artificial colouring of chill-filtration takes place.
From our unique custom built solera system in our warehouse.
Originating in the sherry and port industries, a solera system involves multiple connected barrels. As whisky is drawn from the last barrel the first barrel is topped up. Our Solera is made up of an ex-Fino sherry quarter cask and two ex-Oloroso quarter casks. Whisky flowing through the system will pick up new, deeper, flavours from these casks.
This is the 3rd batch and now we’re seeing the real benefit from time marrying together in the Solera. There in now a rewarding balance of smoke and sherry with any youthful notes now well into the background.
The tasting revealed - Old leather, orange peel, cola cubes, toasted marshmallow and smoked kippers.

A fruity Distillate with honey, malt and spicy notes. Fully matured in a refill barrel for layers of fudge, spice and dried coconut.

Our latest ‘Myosotis’ bottling - the Latin name for the ’Forget-Me-Not’ flower, is the perfect name for this bottling with such a low yield. We rescued the nearly forgotten last drops to create a special edition of only 48 bottles. Fully matured in a refill hogshead allowing the mature nature of this spirit to shine.

- #300805b - Recharred Oloroso Hogshead Finish
DISTILLED on 20th January 2013 and BOTTLED on 24th January 2024
A heavy bodied distillate with fruit, spice and floral notes. Matured in a refill Oloroso butt and then finished in a recharred Oloroso hogshead for layers of dried fruit and ginger spice.
This distillery famous for its heavier spirit due to its short fermentations, large stills and worm tub condensers really lives up to its reputation here. Most of this whisky's life was spent in a refill oloroso butt where it picked up fruit and spice notes before a finishing period in a recharred Oloroso hogshead offering the spirit a wonderful full oak and ginger spice character.
Tasting revealed - cinnamon rolls, raisin cake, cardamom, charred oak, salted popcorn, Indian spices, ripe banana, peppered oatcakes, smoky coffee, toasted croissant, peanut brittle.

- #6764 - Refill Butt
DISTILLED on 29th January 2009 and BOTTLED on 30th January 2024
Located in Chapeltown, Speyside, producing a lighter style distillate with fruity and floral notes. Matured in a refill oloroso butt for layers of walnut and dried fruit sweetness.
Another distillery where most of its output is intended for blends, this rare spirit has been given the chance to shine here being fully matured for more than 15 years in a single refill oloroso butt which still had lots of cask influence to offer the spirit. By far the most classically ’sherried’ whisky in the Q1 outrun as this is full of the expected dried fruit, chocolate and spice associated with this style of maturation.
Tasting revealed - Dried rose petals, fruit and nut chocolate, fig roll, new leather, dried figs, clove studded oranges, candied ginger, baking spices, warm pastry.
