New packaging for Lady of the Glen
‘The only constant in life is change’ and in line with this we have made changes to our packaging.
Lady of the Glen will now be packaged in boxes and in collaboration with Bespoke Atelier the distinctive lilac colouring and branding has changed to gold tones with an updated Scottish wild flower pattern.
Bespoke Atelier did the original design that appeared on the tubes and prior to this the design which was on the fabric pouches which is what we originally started with in 2012.
Change was necessary because as a business we have changed a lot in the last three to four years. We are now a team of four which is expressed on the packaging whereas when I started the business in 2012 it was just me and it didn’t feel appropriate not to mention the people who are essential to the business operation. In the last three years we have won back-to-back Independent Bottler of the Year awards through Icons of Whisky, we have become more professional in our setup and we work closer than ever with our own portfolio casks because casks are held with us on site.
Since moving from the office in Edinburgh to our own bottling hall in Dalgety Bay it felt natural to mention that on the new packaging too because this is where every cask we release is hand bottled by us.
This business is not an old institution like many great independent bottlers; I don’t have family members that worked in the trade and our team is a relatively young team so we are retaining our contemporary Scottish wild flower design but just updating it slightly and Bespoke Atelier have done a fantastic job doing this.
We are very proud of the changes, and I am personally very happy with the design because Lady of the Glen is still very personal to me, it is still that idea of bottling rare casks using a brand inspired by my time at University in Stirling but now it reflects now reflects where we are at.
